Many gardeners would argue that Cold Frames (also sometimes called ‘English Lights’) are just as important, as the greenhouse itself. With a large, gently sloping roof, these glazed boxes offer shelter to young plants and prepare them for being relocated to the garden itself. The young plants gain strength and flourish without the risk of producing elongated stems, that may occur from the relatively high temperatures within the greenhouse.
Harrier GD can build Cold Frames to suit our customers requirements. The variety of options available is extensive. For example they can be:
- Brick or wooden bases.
- Sliding or hinged glazed roofs
- Double or single sided
- Powder coated aluminium or a wooden frame construction
- Heated or unheated
So, take a look at some we have constructed previously and then contact us to discuss what would suit your garden best.
